What makes me different? My approach. I don’t believe in one-size fits all approaches, scripted responses (especially cliches, with the exception of every once in a while when cliches really fit), tone deaf recommendations (like going for a walk when it feels like the sky is falling) or surface-level affirmations as treatment. I am passionate about creating real connection, finding understanding, and promoting change - that includes challenging you to grow. I know that you have your pick of therapy providers, and not every therapist is a good fit for every client. I want you to find the right fit. I often joke that finding the right therapist is a bit like dating, sometimes the first person you go on a date with isn’t your right match. At the end of the day, you reaching your goals and feeling better is my main goal - and so if I’m not the right fit let’s find who is.

I won’t see you as just another number or someone who is broken, but as a real person dealing with real stuff. I want to take all that I have learned and continue to learn and use that to guide our work together. That means I integrate theory, therapy interventions, my own life experience, and you as an individual into our work. I value honesty with kindness, meaning I won’t hide from you what I see or think, but I’m going to deliver it with empathy, humor, and kindness. Because simply, nothing changes if nothing changes.
